MCP agent access
Your tools. Your context.
Let an MCP-compatible client work with your local notes and calculations, through a connection you enable and permissions you choose.
Open the guideA connection on your device
The client talks to the connector over stdio. The connector authenticates to the running app through encrypted loopback transport.
Bring the notebook into the conversation.
Give an agent access to the workspace that holds your calculations, references, and ideas. Read-only access can retrieve context; editing permissions let a capable client update the library.
- Search notes and calculation history.
- Create or edit notes with Edit library permission.
- Use calculation, graph, and export tools according to the permissions you grant.
One app. One local connection.
Enable MCP in Settings, generate an agent credential, save its PEM file, and copy the client configuration. The same CalciteQuickSolve executable runs the connector, so no Docker service or separate model server is required.
Choose the scope of the job.
Select permissions for reading, editing, deletion, cryptographic operations, and administration. Add an expiry if the connection is temporary, and review recent agent activity in Settings.
A lock and a revocation do different things.
An authorized agent can continue working while the UI is locked, including after an app restart. Disable MCP or revoke the grant to stop new requests; a request already in progress may finish.
- Keep the PEM private: it is a credential with decryption authority.
- Revocation cannot recall content or keys an agent already exported.
- Vault password changes do not revoke agent grants.
